Worst Nightmare Realized of the Day: Skydiving with his friends in 2007, Tim got entangled with his jump partner’s canopy at 2,500 feet and plummeted to Earth. Shattering his pelvis, back, and neck, he became instantly paralyzed. (Accident occurs @ 2:24.)

He writes in the video’s description:

Paramedics arrive and I’m med-flighted to UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin where I awake days later after surgery and begin life as a quadriplegic. It’s taken me four and a half years to be able to watch this video.

After posting a link to the video on Reddit, Tim participated in an extensive Q&A.

Responding to a question about his final thoughts before hitting the ground, he wrote: “I glanced at the ground a couple of times. The last time I was not far above tree-top level and my thought was, “I hope this doesn’t hurt.”
